Tractor Fields: Where the Spirit of the Land Meets the Soul of the Game
There’s a moment in every great golf course’s origin story where the land evolves to find its true purpose.
At Tractor Fields Golf Club, that moment came through generations of farmers working the soil and the distant rumble of tractors that have shaped America’s fields for generations. This isn’t just a golf course being built—it’s a dream being re-imagined.
Located northwest of the Twin Cities in Watertown, Minnesota, what is currently Timber Creek Golf Course is undergoing a transformation that blends two powerful American traditions: the game of golf and the agricultural heritage that built this land.
A Vision Forged in Soil and Sweat
The vision for Tractor Fields began with a simple idea: honor the land and the farmers that shaped it. The founders saw this site not as just another parcel to be developed, but as a canvas—a space where threads of the past, present, and future could be woven together.
To realize this vision, they enlisted PGA TOUR Hall of Famer and Top 100 golf course designer Tom Lehman, alongside Minnesota golf icon Dave Tentis. Their mission was clear: design a course that respects the land’s legacy and elevates the golfing experience.
The name Tractor Fields isn’t a marketing slogan—it’s a tribute. It honors the tractors and the generations of farmers who tilled this soil, working dawn to dusk. It’s a nod to rugged work ethic and rural America, woven into the fairways and greens that golfers will enjoy for decades.
More Than a Golf Course—A Field of Dreams
In a golf world where new courses often chase luxury condo permits and private exclusivity, Tractor Fields takes a different path. Its founders invite everyone who loves golf, the land, or the open horizon to join in, not just as players but as partners in a story that will span generations.
A limited number of Founders Club, Corporate Sponsorships and “Foursome” memberships are available, offering golf privileges and unique events, enabling passionate enthusiasts to be part of the journey.
This is a place to forge friendships, make new ones, deepen roots, and rediscover why we fell in love with golf in the first place. A place where the spirit of the land isn’t just remembered—it’s felt in every swing.
The Road Ahead
The transformation is already underway: the vision has been set, the designers engaged, and the land rebranded. Funding is underway in 2026, and a full remodel is planned to begin mid-2027, with an opening date set for August 1, 2028.
What awaits isn’t just another golf course, but a destination—one where tradition and innovation meet, where tractors lend character to the fairways, and where every round feels like a walk through generational history.
This is Tractor Fields—golf’s next great story.
